Chez Shea

NO SINGLE PATTERN IS EVER EXACTLY THE SAME, THOUGH, WHICH IS WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THIS ART.

Shea has been practicing the art of orizomé (folding & dyeing paper) since she was 6 years old, when her parents started the annual tradition, in order to save money and have fun making Christmas wrapping paper. They had the most beautiful presents on the block!​

Years later, when Shea became over-stressed and burned out in her career in international adult education, she returned to the dyeing she learned as a child and continued improving her skills. It brought her such joy that she wanted to share these beauties with people in a way that would transcend the delicate nature of the original pieces; thus Chez Shea (fr. house/place of Shea) was born.
